Wheelie Bin Options
There are three standard wheelie bin sizes generally on offer by both Ealing and Hounslow councils with Ealing Residents allowed to purchase a smaller, recycling specific one in a few circumstances.
We have outlined their sizes and rough capacities below and have provided some helpful information on how to change the sizes you require.
- The Smaller Wheelie Bin is 140 litres (or 140L), which holds approximately three bags of rubbish. It is the same height as a standard sized bin but is narrower. The measurements are: (W) 50cm x (D) 55cm x (H)110cm
- The StandardWheelie Bin is 240L (or 240L) - shown in the centre in picture below - and holds approximately five bags of rubbish and measure (W) 58cm x (D) 74cm x (H) 110cm.
- The LargeWheelie Bin is 360 litre (360L) - shown on right in picture below - hold approximately seven full rubbish bags and measure: (W) 66cm x (D) 88cm x (H) 111cm. These are only given out as a special request, or for property that has previously been rated as requiring them.
Ealing Council has also allowed an exception to its rule on Recycling bins for conservation areas. If Residents are happy to purchase their own bin they can use the following:
- The Conservation Recycling Bin is 120 litres (or 120L) and is shown on left of picture below. It holds approximately three bags of rubbish. It is the same height as a standard sized bin but is narrower. The measurements are: (W) 50cm x (D) 55cm x (H)110cm (Please read the main article for the caveats on how these are to be used).
